A B O U T

I was born in Wales, UK and emigrated to Australia at the age of 2 with my family in 1969.

Like most artists, painting and drawing have been part of my childhood. In recent years attendance at a local studio has provided me with important support and guidance which has inspired me to pursue my artistic development.

In 2004, I participated in a joint exhibition "Squirt" with other Studio members. Not only did I sell quite a few paintings, but received my first commission.

I held my first solo exhibition in August 2007 as part of the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) festival. The positive experience of exhibiting encouraged me to continue with two subsequent exhibitions in 2008 and one in 2010. I have also been kept busy with various private commissions.

I enjoy experimenting with colour and form to produce contemporary landscapes, still life and abstracts.

Painting can be calming and invigorating, frustrating and satisfying, but importantly it provides me with a creative outlet which (often) brings with it a great sense of accomplishment.

The paintings on this website are original one-offs. I do not offer prints, but would be happy to discuss a customised painting. If you have a specific idea, image or photo, please contact me about commissioning a painting.
